Born in Glasgow, Scottland, Billy grew up in a Catholic Home for years before moving to England after his mother and father divorced. While in England, Billy grew up in an all-boys school where he was then bullied for multiple years by his peers. Then after entering High School, he met his best friend Chase who was the lead singer of a Rock Band named 'The Lionhearts' and became the group's bassist. They remained together as a band till University where, while on a Camping Trip to North Holiday Moore. Billy wandered into the forest as a large and strange fog rolled in, separating him from his group. That night, he accidentally entered a peculiar cave where he found himself within the Sanctum of the Wizard, Merlin. While inside, he came across two mystical items on stone pillars before a throne. On the right was a large sword and on the left was a silver amulet with Merlin's symbol engraved in it.From nowhere, Merlin's Spirit appeared to the young man telling him that he should not have entered this sacred chamber. Merlin explained that with the appearance of a human, the magical barrier keeping the creatures of magic trapped in the forest broke. With this, Billy soon heard his friends scream in terror as they were now under attack by an awaken Troll Rock. Terrified for the safety of his friends, Billy begged the Wizard to help them from the creature only for the mage to deny Billy's request.
"I cannot leave my temple. For if I wander, then my soul shall move onto to the next realm, my sanctum and the world of magic shall be left unguarded.”
Billy continues and states that he doesn't care about that. He wants to protect his friends; he wants to protect the only people who've ever made him feel like he belonged. At that moment, The Amulet flew out of his case and into his hand. In a burst of red light, Billy was now donning a strange suit made of mystical energy. His eyes widened as he could feel a surge mystical energy coursing through his body. Within moments, Billy flew across the forest and battled against the Troll, while fighting(with little fighting experience), Billy was contacted by Merlin and taught how to conjure a simple spell. Solaris, which allowed him to fire a beam of sunlight and render the rampaging Troll trapped in stone. Afterward, Merlin summoned Billy back to his Temple and confronted the young man before applauding his heroic efforts. He allows Billy to continue to hold the Amulet and become its guardian on one condition. Billy will train under the wizard and learn magic to one day take on the mantle of the world’s greatest magician.
Billy as a character was created out of my love for characters like Doctor Strange, Wiccan, Zatanna, and Shazam from Marvel and DC Comics. But also from my love of Fantasy and Magic from various mythologies and stories.
I then told fireheart_drawing, we're friends from highschool, and she drew out the character's design from the very small details I gave her. I really recommend checking our her instagram, her artwork is really cool.
As for what lies ahead for Billy, I've been slowly working on an ongoing story for Billy's adventures and might post them up onto this site.
